Born in Gainesville, she was the daughter of Jerry Eugene and Laura Hampton Ritch and lived in the area most of her life. she was a nanny and member of Faith Bible Church in Sanderson where she also worked on the youth staff.

N-word Is Problem In Schools

A white teacher in North Escambia County has been disciplined for using racial slurs in an email that referred to a black custodian as “the n” and “Miss Maid”. Meanwhile, the Pensacola Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference says that the use of the “N”-word is a problem in Escambia schools.
